Sustainability.
Sustainability is one of the four core values in the University of Brighton’s Strategic Plan, underpinning everything that we do.
Our commitment to sustainability runs throughout all our practices, from the management of the university’s campuses and facilities, through procurement, travel, food, ethical investment, community engagement, research, teaching and learning. The university’s award winning sustainability campaign, c-change, engages staff, students and members of the community in driving forward progress towards a fully sustainable university. As well as reducing our impact on the environment, we also aim to empower our graduates to leave the university with the skills and knowledge needed to be change-makers for a sustainable future. With this in mind the conference aims to be as sustainable as possible. This includes using reusable water bottles and coffee mugs during the conference and using as little paper as possible, for example by providing an app with all needed information as opposed to a printed programme. |
